Puppy Power Hybrid Class
Puppy Power is designed for adolescent dogs navigating that wild in-between stage — and the families doing their best to keep up. In this hybrid class, we’ll blend practical training, emotional support, and real-life readiness through the lens of LEGS (learning, environment, genetics, self). You’ll build essential skills like walking, recall, settling, and body handling — but also learn how to regulate together when things feel big.
Each class includes supportive “hacks,” gentle coaching, and flexible teaching that works with your life, not against it.
Puppy Power Hybrid Class
Supportive class structure for raising confident, connected adolescent pups — both online and in real life. Limited to 4 participants. Class runs from Sunday 2/22-4/12 at 3pm. Click here for location details and more.
For puppies 5–12 months old navigating the messy, magical in-between stage of puppyhood and adulthood. This is when behavior gets bigger, feelings run higher, and guidance matters most.
This one-of-a-kind hybrid class combines the personal support of private coaching with the structure and community of small group learning. You’ll start with a 1:1 intake session (online or in-home), then move through seven weekly lessons — some in person, some online — to maximize communication, collaboration, confidence, and calm. Offered only once per season. $490
Please note: This class works best as a quiet learning space — for both the dogs and the grown-ups. We ask that children under 14 sit this one out so everyone can focus and feel at ease. Our goal is a safe, productive learning space for all puppies and people.
If a dog’s behavior becomes overly disruptive or unsafe in class, we may ask the family to pause group attendance and explore private support instead. We’re here to help — no judgment, just solutions!
Each cohort includes:
A 1:1 private consultation and training plan (online or in-person)
7 weekly group sessions: alternating in-person and online
Small class size (max 4 puppies) with two instructors for personalized coaching
Weekly recap emails, curated videos, and handouts
Graduation group walk + celebration!
What you and your pup will explore together:
Communication clarity, consent-based touch, and cooperative care skills for veterinary visits
Recall, attention, and emotional regulation in distracting environments
Real-world walking skills and advocacy strategies
Safer socialization + confidence building
Individualized enrichment and routines to support your pup’s development
How to support your dog’s and your own nervous system on the hard days
This class is designed for families who want to support their puppy’s development without relying on unnecessary compliance, and who are looking for guidance that goes beyond training alone. It’s for those who want help responding thoughtfully to big feelings, jumping, nipping, and everyday distractions, while building confidence, calm, and clear communication in real-life situations. The hybrid format offers flexible coaching that fits into busy lives, and everything is grounded in the LEGS framework (learning, environment, genetics, self) so you can better understand why your puppy behaves the way they do — not just how to manage it. This class is a non-judgmental space to have your own big feelings when it comes to the hard days with a puppy. Designed for real families with real puppies — big feelings, goofy zoomies, and all.
Puppy Power helped me build a more positive relationship with my new dog. The classes and accompanying resources gave me a deeper understanding of my dog's needs. I developed skills to navigate everyday situations with greater confidence. Frances and Mycal created a warm, welcoming space to learn together and practice these concepts. I'm so grateful for all the tools I gained through these sessions! -Caitlin C
